Analysts Referral Service

The Analyst Referral Service is designed to facilitate the identification of an analyst for individuals interested in therapeutic services grounded in the Jungian tradition. For those seeking guidance, an interview process is established whereby, after a one-hour interview, the individual is provided with the names of analysts consistent with the individual’s personal preferences and needs. The cost for this interview is $100. Please contact the referral service through our contact page or phone us at 312.701.0400 x2. Your confidentiality is our utmost priority.

A Jungian Analyst is a licensed psychotherapist who has been granted a diploma by a training institute accredited by the International Association of Analytical Psychology (IAAP). Training requirements vary among institutes, but accredited training universally includes an in-depth study and demonstrated mastery of the theories of C. G. Jung; controlled practice, under intense supervision with a Jungian analyst; and, most importantly, a lengthy personal analysis.

A Senior Candidate is a licensed psychotherapist who is in the “certifying stage” of training at the institute. He or she has passed rigorous qualifying exams and is in the process of completing the “controlled analysis” of cases and thesis requirements in order to become a diplomate analyst. (Hours accrued while working with a Senior Candidate cannot be used for the 100 hour admission requirement for application to the Analyst Training Program.)
