Analysts Referral Service Please click on individual links to see detailed information. Analysts A Jungian Analyst is a licensed psychotherapist who has been granted a diploma by a training institute accredited by the International Association of Analytical Psychology (IAAP). Training requirements vary among institutes, but accredited training universally includes an in-depth study and demonstrated mastery of the theories of C. G. Jung; controlled practice, under intense supervision with a Jungian analyst; and, most importantly, a lengthy personal analysis. Senior Candidates A Senior Candidate is a licensed psychotherapist who is in the “certifying stage” of training at the institute. He or she has passed rigorous qualifying exams and is in the process of completing the “controlled analysis” of cases and thesis requirements in order to become a diplomate analyst. (Hours accrued while working with a Senior Candidate cannot be used for the 100 hour admission requirement for application to the Analyst Training Program.)
