A Cuban, he immigrated to Z\u00fcrich in 1962 where he remained until 1974.\u00a0 He did is psychoanalytic training at the C. G. Jung Institute of Z\u00fcrich and he was an analysand of James Hillman. He was the author of <span style=\"font-style: italic;\">Hermes and His Children; Anselm Kiefer: The Psychology of \u201cAfter the Catastrophe\u201d; Dionysus in Exile; Cultural Anxiety; Eros and Psyche<\/span>; <span style=\"font-style: italic;\">Sobre h\u00e9roes y poetas<\/span>; and <span style=\"font-style: italic;\">Artemisa e Hip\u00f3lito: mito y tragedia<\/span>.
