I am a Jungian Therapist, currently in analytical training. This guides my entire outlook on therapy with individuals and couples. Therapy is growth, a deeper understanding of ourselves and the meaning we make of our lives. We all have experienced feelings or behaviors that seem confusing. We get overwhelmed with emotion, stuck in our lives or alienated from ourselves and others. To understand the unconscious material that drives these experiences, I work with dreams, myth and the imaginal. Transformation occurs when we raise awareness and introduce more complexity into the way we see ourselves and the world around us.
I have over twenty years of experience working in an urban emergency room and ten years in private practice. In addition to crisis intervention for patients and supporting emergency service workers, I gained skills in EMDR, CBT, IFS, and other therapies that support my work. I will work on video but I believe that working in person is optimal.
The Jungian perspective can be a deeply spiritual psychology. Emotional pain and traumatic events are a part of everyone’s lives. Attending to an immediate problem is a portal to individuation. I feel privileged to walk this path with my clients. I invite you to consider giving yourself the gift of your own close attention in the container of my office.
