Solc, Vladislav

Vladislav (Vlado) Šolc, M.S., LCPC, CSAC, ICS, is a Diplomate Jungian Analyst and licensed psychotherapist practising in Milwaukee and Chicago. He provides individual, group, couples, and family psychotherapy in English, Czech, Ukrainian, Polish, and Slovak.

Vlado received his education and clinical training in Europe and the United States at Charles University in Prague, the Czech Association for Analytical Psychology in Brno, the University of Jyväskylä in Finland, and the C. G. Jung Institute of Chicago. In addition to his training as a Jungian analyst, he is a Clinical Substance Abuse Counsellor and Independent Clinical Supervisor. He co-directs the JPP/JSP program in C. G. Jung Institute of Chicago.

Vlado regards the therapeutic process as a true art. His work begins with each client’s unique circumstances and combines depth psychology with an integrative and holistic approach. He draws upon different therapeutic methods according to the individual needs of the client, always respecting the client’s dignity and providing a comfortable and confidential setting in which healing and psychological development can occur.

He specialises in the treatment of depression, anxiety, sleep difficulties, relationship problems, interpersonal conflict, and addictions. His clinical interests also include psycho-spiritual crises involving a loss of meaning or direction, the relationship between psyche and body, immigration and cultural identity, displacement and grief, and women’s empowerment and emancipation. He works with adults and provides marital and couples psychotherapy.

Vlado is also engaged in art and the creative process. He is the author or co-author of eight books in depth psychology:
