Mary Dougherty, MFA, ATR, NCPsyA Mary Dougherty, MFA, ATR, NCPsyA is a retired Jungian psychoanalyst and art psychotherapist in Chicago. She is former President, Director of Training, and chair of the Program Committee of the Jung Institute of Chicago, former President of Chicago Society of Jungian Analysts, and served for eight years on the Executive Committee of the Council of North American Societies of Jungian Analysts. She is contributing editor to the Journal of Jungian Theory and Practice and has numerous publications in Analytical Psychology. She lectures on the clinical implications of gender, the use of active imagination, and on the impact of Jung’s thought upon creative development and artistic production. As a printmaker and performance artist she exhibited nationally and internationally, with venues including The George Eastman House, NY; Franklin Furnace, NYC; University of Chicago; Museo Contemporaneo, Sao Paolo. Suzanne Rosenthal, PhD is a Jungian analyst and Clinical Psychologist in private practice in Winnetka, IL. She completed her training at the C.G. Jung Institute of Chicago in 1996 after earning her doctorate (psychology) and master’s degrees (film studies) from Northwestern University. She is currently a faculty member of the Analyst Training Program and the Clinical Training Program and is a member of the ATP oversight committee. Sue includes in her years of clinical experience teaching and supervising at the graduate level at Loyola University, Northwestern, and the Illinois School of Professional Psychology Sue has served on the Executive Board of the Institute and on the Admissions, Candidacy and Program Committees. She chaired the committee that established the original Jungian clinic in Evanston. Highlights of her work include papers and workshops on themes of ‘longing for home’ and the clinical use of myths, fairy tales, and film. She is actively involved in the Institute’s collaboration with other downtown instructions in creating programs that present the archetypal approach to the expressive arts. Ms. Shaw is a licensed clinical social worker who has maintained a private practice of psychotherapy and Jungian analysis for 30 years and served on the Board of The C. G. Jung Institute of Chicago from 1992-1998. She currently teaches at the Jung Center of Evanston. Ms. Shaw consulted for Fortune 100 companies in organizational development, team building, and initiatives of transitioning technology. While serving with the Veteran’s Health Organization (VHO), in the Behavioral Health Lab, Ms. Shaw helped veterans address problems including bereavement, post-traumatic stress disorders, and mood and anxiety disorders.

June Singer, PhD was a major figure in the development of the Jungian movement in the United States.  She earned a Ph.D. in Psychology from Northwestern University and completed training as a Jungian analyst in Zurich, Switzerland.  During the 1960′s, Dr. Singer founded the Analytical Psychology Club of Chicago, which eventually became the C.G. Jung Institute of Chicago, in order to provide interested individuals an opportunity to study the works of Carl Jung. June Singer was a gifted analyst and a distinguished author and lecturer.  Her text, Boundaries of the Soul, is considered to be one of the best introductions to Jungian thought. She also wrote two books about sexuality, and a Jungian study of the poet William Blake.  

Murray Stein, PhD is a graduate of the C.G. Jung Institute/Zurich and is a training analyst at the International School of Analytical Psychology in Zurich (ISAPZ). He is a founding member of the Inter-Regional Society for Jungian Analysts (USA) and the Chicago Society of Jungian Analysts and was president of the International Association for Analytical Psychology from 2001 to 2004. He has written several books, including Jung's Treatment of Christianity, In MidLife, Transformation – Emergence of the Self, Jung's Map of the Soul and The Principle of Individuation.
